Team Tournament Update

James Gang, good morning!

Some important things to know. The first team Tournament is set for Nov 30th.

We start with Lake Mills on Nov 28. We wrestle individual at this tournament, some went last year. The entire James Gang can go. Then we drive South, get a hotel and on the 29th we wrestle individually in Waverly IA @ Wartburg College. The 30th is the TEAM tournament held in the same location. It’s 1 hr. 21 min to Lake Mills. Then 1hr 36 min to Waverly IA.

After talking with the board last night, all favored this event. What is nice about that weekend is that then entire James Gang can go and wrestle in both locations and then Sunday watch the team and be part of it. It’s really a win-win. ALSO, IT’S A K-8 TEAM EVENT so older wrestlers can join in.

On Jan 4th we will be going to Fargo, “Rumble on the Red”…team and individual. Kelli is looking into a block of rooms for that. Cannon Falls Team tournament is a posibility as well, if possible we may get a 2nd team there. If you have any questions please let me know. If you know of a tournament that you would like to attend please pass that info and I will try to get us in.

FYI: The coaching staff deals with the team, not myself. I personally do not know who is on the team. Those decisions will come from the coaches and be put out at their discretion closer to tournament time. All kids should be ready, as we talked about last night, kids get hurt or parents can’t make a weekend for some reason or another. If parents can’t make it but kids can if they find transportation for them, we have that taken care of as well.
